In 2013 Groom and Sons undertook a repair to the front gutter roof box of my house. As part of this work I was charged for the replacement of the underlying timbers as these were rotten. Unfortunately despite the repair the damp persisted and after two years of correspondence with Groom and Sons I commissioned a second roofer. When the second roofer removed the felt flat roof he discovered that the original timbers had not been replaced despite that fact that I was charged for this work (see photograph). In addition there was no incline to the flat roof resulting in significant pooling of water (see photograph)
