is this the new name now jps services? david favell or david james? if it is then i will have to warned other people not to contact this builder as he is a cowboy builder we had a contract to finish the garage extension for 4-6 weeks last year and until now it hasnt finish so we ended up finding someone to finish the job. you guys please beware with this company. 07400448948

We hired David Favell of JPS Services, 30 Fife Street,Northampton, NN5 5BH. He asked for 8% deposit for a job that he planned to start on the 4th November 2014, which he failed to start on time, and when we told him that we would take another builder, he started on the 8th November 2014. In the contract he said that the work would take three to four weeks, and now it’s the end of March 2015 and we are taking legal action. One man came everyday through the first three weeks and we were asked to pay his wages of £800 a week, which was not in the contract. Although we had drawings from the architect with the size of the windows, he made the excuse that he had to order them - a two week delay. More promises, December went, January went, February went. He kept on asking for money to buy all the materials, and he bought the cheapest materials that he could i.e. doors for £12 each..... He then told us that he would be better to paint it, but the work wasn't done properly. His electrician wired the bathroom and study in our garage/extension and another electriciann came and made holes in all the paintwork/plaster. Also had very bad experience with this builder. Very poor quality workmanship. Does anybody know if he is still trading under this name?

We ordered a driveway from this man and wish we hadn't. The blocks have sunk and the edging is just falling away. Now we can't get hold of him. Do not buy from him
