Shambolic company. Firstly let me state the fitters, of which we met many unfortunately, were absolutely fantastic and deserve to work for a much better outfit. We needed 7 replacement windows, sounds easy enough ? Took them 5 visits and 2 months before completion. I could write pages about how bad the experience was but frankly I can't bear to waste any more of my time on them. The fact we had a bathroom window fitted with clear glass for weeks just about sums it up perfectly !!
Communication was truly awful, customer satisfaction appears to mean very little to them.
Do yourself a favour and go with any other glazing company. Honestly, bricking your window openings up would be a better option than using Balhousie.

Work was carried out to a professional standard. Fitter was courteous and tidied up after himself and made sure I was happy with the job before he left and gave advice as to the maintaining and cleaning of the door. Great Job!!

Courteous, professional team at Balhousie. One window damaged, New one ordered and fitted within 10 days. Communication throughout from enquiry to completion excellent.
The entire Balhousie team have been professional and friendly from the first visit. I have a dislike of stereotypical salesmen, the salesman from Balhousie could not have been further than that. Honestly advising is of the best option for us, not the most expensive. The building contractors were again professional and friendly, working hard to ensure everything was cleaned up each day and happy to talk and explain how they did things when I was nosey! Then the actual Joiners from Balhousie themselves were amazing. Yet again exceptional workmanship and courteous throughout. The electricians did a great job even when we changed some ideas mid way, they just got on with it. Decorator was amazingly quick when here and did an excellent job.
The only part Balhousie are not so quick at its asking for payment! The conservatory was ordered before they had asked for the initial payment, the conservatory was 3/4 built before they asked for the payment that we agreed would be paid when the work started. Finally I will call them next week to make sure they get the final payment as we received the completion certificate over a month ago, and they have not billed us yet!
I would advise using Balhousie 100%, they have exceeded or expectations at every stage.
Salesman was polite, courteous and efficient, as were the men who came to carry out the work. No issues with the finished job. However, the job was NOT carried out within the '7 weeks or sooner' time frame. In fact I had to contact Balhousie into the 8th week to find out when the job was going to be done, only to be told it was scheduled for the end Sept/ beg Aug... Contract signed 29/6. That was unacceptable, and only when I said I was going to cancel the contract was I offered a Sat slot 10 days from contacting them. The Mon before the job was to be done, I received a phone all to say they were able to do the job on the Thurs/ Fri of that week....So I changed my plans yet again for that week....only to receive yet another call to say, sorry, it would have to be the Sat after all....My plans in disarray yet again. Write to CEO, still no answer. Won't use them again. Pity, as I chose a local company rather than a better known one.
Replacement windows and doors - 1st July, 2013.
All staff (including office staff, salesmen etc) were pleasant and courteous. The work was done efficiently and the tradesmen were very pleasant and helpful. They arrived on time each day and worked hard without many breaks and tidied up well at the end of each day.
The work is of excellent quality and has been much admired.
