We live in a big old detached house in Purley which Phipps Roofing Ltd have repaired and maintained for us for over 3 years now. The house has a challenging mix of tiled and flat roofs with complex guttering and mostly wooden window frames. We are so glad to have found this company with whom we have developed a good and trusting working relationship. They are good a discussing 'work arounds' being both creative and sensible.T heir crews are hardworking, conscientious, honest and reliable. We have always been pleased with their work. They are also good fun and a pleasure to have around the house. We find their charges reasonable and have no hesitation recommending them.

I am now Chartered Surveyor living in a Grade II listed building. In 2015 Phipps Roofing Ltd replaced the main roof, all new rafters , several ceilings, parapet walls, many structural elements and intricate leadwork. In 2020 / 2021 they added a beautiful side extension which involved roof lights, a raft and piling foundation, plus 2 metre garden boundary walls. This was all carried out in a visible and high profile locations on a building in a conservation area - so it had to be done to a high standard, in materials specified and checked by the local planning authority. I have no hesitation in recommending them – they are honest, hard-working and the work is done to a high standard and the lead work in particular is top of the range craftsman. They take great pride in the end product and are easy to discuss issues on site and find solutions. Are they cheap - no. But they are competitive and you get a fabulous end product first time round. Due to the quality of work on this building they have subsequently undertaken work on adjacent listed buildings and repaired other builders substandard work. Phipps roofing Ltd is a well established family business and I am very happy indeed to recommend them having used them for many years now.
